At first it was which one was better, Young Living or doTerra. Now that Ameo is now making their presents in the mix (They came out Sept 25th, 2014) and are starting to take their cut in the essential oil market.
All 3 brands have a different aroma profile which is noticable the first time I tried them. Every time I send a sample of lavender or peppermint to people, everyone pretty much says the same thing about the smells but nearly everyone likes a different one. Since Ameo came out and I've given samples to people, the people that have been using oils for a long time say they
Each brand has a different consistency. As the brands have better smells I can tell by the viscosity of the oils that they either have been distilled more than once but not necessarily with high heat or pressure. Note that as each time they are distilled it strips away a layer of the therapeutic constituents. Since all 3 of these brands are high quality and use low heat and pressure, their economies of scale can allow them to waste more oil by not getting every last drop of the oil by high heat. If I test these brands to other smaller companies even though they say they make them in small batches and are better quality than these 3 companies, how can they sell them for much cheaper and waste 25% of their oil by using low heat. There are only a few companies like Mountain Rose that were very close to these brands in quality. But consistency is what is what upsets me when I buy 2 differnet batches from some of these small companies and the quality from one harvest to the next is not the same.
I have samples of all the smaller companies oils as well as the "economy of scale giants' companies oil. Maybe people getting samples will like the smaller companies better just by smell maybe not. Although many people when they call me are against buying from an MLM company end up liking them better. I can't tell people they will like these MLM companies oil better because they will think I am just trying to sell them something. It's like going to Macy's and them telling you to buy this or that perfume without smelling it first. Its just like that.
Some of the companies have their own distilleries and own massive farms and others such as Ameo they source their plants from all over the world but don't own the farms. Some people try to stay away from this in the past so Ameo to convince people even though they rely on other peoples farms and trust them to pick only mature plants at just the right time, they show the constituent breakdown of every batch number. If they didnt do this I would never buy from someone who mixes plants from different sources.
After taking the tests with the Asyra (see video below) the Ameo tested stronger for me with the lavender and lemon over Doterra and Young Living. I tested at 74% for ameo’s lavender and 50% at Doterra and 49% for Young living below. As I found out, the higher the number it can raise my energy too much. The goal with the test is to keep the number closer to 50% I can. I feel even though the Ameo smells faint to me the constituent level might be too high for me at that particular time.

I have the entire collections of Young Living, doTerra, and Ameo. I will not choose any oil for someone just based on the brand that I like the best for a particular single oil. It is always different. After going to Hippocrates Institute, many of the people who liked one oil on day one liked a different oil 2 weeks later after being on a raw diet and doing a major detox. I have an abundance of samples and constantly keep a full stock of samples of these oils. Before buying any of the oils or becoming a dealer, I strongly urge people to try a sample of each oil if someone is going to sell them. If someone is going to sell them I believe it is only fair to the customer if the dealer has experience with different brands and not just saying the brand they sell is the best.
