Well, this is the brand I grew up with. This was my base to compare all other oils to until I looked at all the different manufacturers. I had nothing to compare them to before. Now that I have compared my old favorites to some of the super expensive brands, I won't say that the Aura Cacia oils are not potent, for the average price, it's more potent than any others in its price range.
It's just that after trying some of the super fresh just distilled oils that cost twice as much, those small batch companies that the MLM companies try to say over charge people, (unless you own a raw food co-op like me and can buy in bulk, these companies are cost prohibitive and the MLMs have every right to complain that they are too expensive.
The Aura Cacia brand I would say they are medium potent and have a voltage somewhere between middle to medium high compared to some others of the same essential oil species.
This is probably the most popular non MLM large company oil brand. They are everywhere and nearly in every health food store I've been to. They don't sell to individuals that want to resell so its probably why people who I've talked to never speak highly of them. What is interesting is that many massage therapists usually start out with this brand until they start selling oils and then go off to join doTerra or Young Living as they can through volume get wholesale without having to buy large volume up front.
Most of this brands essential oils are not organic or wildcrafted which reflects its price based on what is obvious. I believe the Aura Cacia line sets the retail bar for non organic oils. So when I see organic oils at the same price as Aura Cacia it raises a red flag. Also when I see conventional oils half the price of Aura Cacia or even cheaper for the same species of oil, its hard to believe the oils aren't as potent.
The Aura Cacia oils are readily available in just about every town at the local health food store. If this is the quality you want, and are beginning like I was, this is a good start. I do have a local connection at an herb shop that I can get these from at his cost. I don't really use conventional oils anymore but this line is definately worth the price if you can get a good deal.
