Some oils are able to fill up the room quicker than others based on their cluster size. The thicker oils that have been cooked more with higher heat tend to have less fluence. These are the cheapest oils on the market. It is easier for it to vaporize and release the oils constituents into the air if the molecules are smaller. The temperature of the room also has an effect. The warmer the room is the more fluence the essential oil will give off. Just like in a hot garage, the stench of the garbage is much stronger than the same trash in a cold garage in the winter.
If you want to have more fluence from your oils, the oils that are the most molecular volatility will fill up the room more and less oil can be used. Infusing the oil with the laser or the sticker can also make the oil more fluent. I've noticed that I can turn my diffuser on and use nearly half as much oil and get the same fluence of oil that hasn't been infused.
If you want oils that have high fluence, please let me know on my essential oil quiz.
