Using essential oils with STEAMY WONDER: I USE THIS WITH MY OILS
I remember when I had my first Ayurvedic oil therapy session with this product.
I have always been a big advocate for Steam therapies and a lot of experience with Steam Ozone sessions. The way the ozone equipment works is functionally the same when it comes to the human body. When the body warms up with the steam the pores open dramatically and not only will the body release toxins and electrolytes in the sebaceous fluids from the blood and lymphatic systems, but the pores also will absorb what ends up on the surface of the skin. Some of the best delivery methods for medications and other compounds are trans-dermally (through the outer skin layers eventually into the blood stream directly bypassing the digestive system)

Inspecting the design of the Steamy Wonder I was making sure to look for usage of poor quality joint pieces or any potentially toxic materials used. I also requested a manufacturers spec to check the fabric and frame materials. I know this is very important to look into from dealing with Infrared Sauna tents. There are so many toxic products that flood the market from China and whenever heat is involved one must be very thorough to look into offgassing chemicals. Many of these fabrics used for example use flame retardents sprayed on them which will reduce any fire hazard. The problem is that released Bromide types of compounds that enter the body and fit perfectly into the receptors for Thyroid hormones and so wreak havoc on a persons endocrine and immune systems. I used to work a lot with helping Autistic children as well as people with multiple chemical sensitivities so I know what will quickly bother them.

More about the Steamy Wonder
I feel that without this type of equipment an aromatherapy oil session is greatly less effective. Imagine being able to absorb the healing constituents in the essential oils directly into the blood stream all over the body and it going to wherever it is needed within minutes. I really don't know of any other way to get the oils into the body as effectively....I used to take the oils internally (only do this with the highest grade of oils). I make raw chocolate peppermint smoothies. Pepermint from one brand tastes totally different than another.

Note: The digestive system destroys most of the therapeutic benefits so that is another reason I use steam. It's an expensive way to work with the oils. The skin has always been superior. BTW just a word of warning to whoever is reading this and thinking of putting oils on there skin and who might be new to this world, ALWAYS mix the essential oil with a carrier oil before applying the body and be sure to first test a small patch of skin for a few hours to make sure no allergic response occurs before slathering it everywhere!

I have had my Steamy Wonder for about a year now and never found a steamer that is easy to detach the fabric and wash it and with this one I can.

If my goal is to heal the body then in order of importance it is Steamy Wonder first and then a Diffuser second. Of course not all diffusers are created equal so make sure to read my review on the different diffusers and also send an email in or call if more information is required on those products. All I can say for now is that there are GREAT differences between them as the various companies use different methods for sending the oil out into the air.

What are you using essential oils for mainly?
Do you want oils grown not in their original native area?
Do you not mind companies that grow the plants not in the peak growing season? This provides a lower cost oil and generally not good for therapeutic usage.
Does it need to have a long Shelf life?
Are you going to be selling them
Would you be interested in reduced price oils if near end of expiration date?
Are you interested or willing to submit a review on the oil samples that we send out?
